An embodiment of Porsche’s unparalleled sports car DNA, the Porsche Taycan propels the German sports car maker into an eagerly-awaited future — an era of full electrification.
As Porsche’s first fully-electric sports car, the Taycan exemplifies the brand’s pioneering spirit and innovative attitude. From conceptualisation to production, the car was designed to be purely electric, with a drivetrain prowess to match its sleek yet muscular silhouette.
With launch control and over-boost activated, the range-topping Taycan Turbo S produces up to 761PS and 1050Nm. These output numbers enable it to decimate the 0 to 100km/h sprint in an exhilarating 2.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 260km/h. This puts the Taycan Turbo S in the company of the world’s fastest, road-legal cars.
It’s Speed Will Blow You Away

Even the entry-level 530 PS Taycan 4S is no slouch – 0 to 100km/h in 4 seconds and maximum speed of 250km/h. The Taycan is equipped with two exceptionally efficient electric motors, one on each axle, giving it all-wheel drive. The two-speed transmission at the rear axle is a noteworthy Porsche innovation. While most electric vehicles have a single-speed unit, which limits the top speed, the Taycan’s transmission is able to harness the full potential power available to realise its breathtaking maximum speed.
Performance is Impeccable

No matter how fast an electric car is, it would not be feasible as a daily drive if it did not have the range and swift-charging ability to match its prodigious, on-road performance. The Taycan’s 800-volt system is the heart of its driving excellence. Aside from the jaw-dropping performance figures, its battery can be charged from a state of charge (SoC) of 5 per cent to 80 per cent in 22.5 minutes (with 270kW DC charger). In fact, the Taycan Turbo can be charged to a range of up to 100km in a mere 5 minutes with high-power charging.
The Performance Battery Plus offers amazingly long range – up to 420km for the Turbo and 405km for the Turbo S. The Taycan 4S is equally proficient where range is concerned – with the standard Performance Battery, the figure is 365km. Select the optional Performance Battery Plus and you will enjoy up to 414km on every full charge.
Design Looks Great
The design of the Porsche Taycan is headlined by the flat sports contour with typical Porsche flyline, LED lightstrip and three-dimensional “Porsche” logo – all exemplifying Porsche Design DNA. Also conceived with Porsche genes is the dashboard. Influenced by the one found in the original 1963 Porsche 911, it is the epitome of clean yet timeless style.
Gadgetry is Cutting-Edge
Complementing the classic 911-inspired dashboard are a myriad of the latest digital displays showcasing cutting-edge electronic gadgetry. The free- standing 16.9-inch curved display is fully digital, which is one of the first in the automotive industry. It also forms the highest point of the dash and hence, its focal point. Situated next to it are the integrated 8.4-inch centre console control panel, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with 10.9-inch touchscreen display and 10.9-inch passenger display (optional). Together, they combine to form a seamless glass band in a futuristic black-panel look for accessing the navigation and infotainment systems and more.
