This year marks the 18th anniversary of the motoring exhibition and concours known as The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. As the name suggests, it’s where luxury car aficionados across the globe come together for a yearly reunion, witnessing some of the world’s most collectible automobiles. For this year’s edition, we’re specifically talking about the Rolls-Royce’s bespoke creations: The Ghost in Friskee Pink and the Cullinan Black Badge in Iced Turchese.
Hosted at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California, during the 70th edition of Monterey Car Week, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars impressed motorsports collectors and enthusiasts with their two bespoke commissions. The display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering showcased the world-leading marque’s latest member, the Ghost, together with one of their most-beloved models, the Cullinan Black Badge.
Bold, colourful, and unique, the bespoke Ghost in Friskee Pink is complemented by a restful Navy Blue and Arctic White leather interior. Its highlight is the new leather in a bright pink shade called Shieda. It comes with meticulous stitching detail found on the Ghost’s seats, headrests, and leather-encased indicator stalks.
For the Cullinan Black Badge, it’s all about boldness and progression. On the outside, the Black Badge is adorned in a daring shade of Iced Turchese. On the inside, just as with the Ghost, the black leather is highlighted with accents of the Iced Turchese shade. Both models portray an interesting and dramatic play on aesthetic contrasts at this year’s event. Onlookers were surely intrigued.
