This week’s Prestige Planner includes the first ever exhibition by leading fashion stylist Daneenart Burakasikorn, a new digitised Bangkok Art Book Fair, and a Luxury Staycation Fair at Siam Paragon.
Entering a new month, it seems we can finally heave a small sigh of relief, as things truly take a turn towards normalcy. Gradually, we’re seeing events make their steady return, and with the lift on our — thankfully short-lived — alcohol ban, there are even quite a few new bars entering our local nightlife scene. Of course, while our Covid-19 numbers have remained low, it’s also good to keep in mind that we’re on the fortunate end of the spectrum, and that it’s always good to remain cautious.
On that note, as we carefully — don’t forget your face masks! — continue about our lives, there are quite a few exciting happenings to check out in town this week, as we round up in our latest segment of Prestige Planner. Leading fashion stylist Daneenart Burakasikorn has decided to pick up her paintbrush after a decade, and is hosting her first ever solo exhibition, while Daniel Thaiger is offering foie gras burgers with Vivin Grocery for a limited time! Add to that a digitised Art Book Fair, and an event about all the top luxury staycation offers in Bangkok, and chances are we’re looking at a pretty packed week ahead. Scroll through this week’s Prestige Planner for the best events to catch.

Isolated, a Beauty of Mess
ART & CULTURE — Leading fashion stylist Daneenart Burakasikorn has unveiled her first ever solo exhibition, taking place at Play Art House. Visitors can expect a series of incredibly powerful, abstract paintings, all of which draw inspiration from the hardships and uncertainty she experienced due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Having spent ten years in Thailand’s fashion scene, Daneenart has garnered a pretty strong repute for her stark styling. This exhibition rings with particular significance, as it is the first time in over a decade, that the former Fine Arts student has picked up her brush to paint once more. The paintings are chaotic and startlingly messy, but as Daneenart herself puts it, “in chaos and order, there is beauty”.
11 am – 4pm from Tuesday to Thursday, 11am – 7pm from Friday to Sunday. Until October 25, 2020. Play Art House. To find out more, visit playarthouse.com.
