Chit Beer Crafted Pairing Dinner
WINE & DINE — Craft beer lovers take note, the Anantara Siam Bangkok is the place to be this Friday, as the hotel’s Aqua Bar plays host to a craft beer pairing dinner with Chit Beer. Khun Chit is known locally as the “godfather” of the Thai craft beer scene and this dinner, which gets underway at 6pm, shines a spotlight on several of his most acclaimed brews. His beer’s complex blend of exotic hops will beautifully complement the savory flavours of the six-course dinner, which features oysters with a tempura crunch (paired with Chitbeer She-Wit), Wagyu rib-eye (paired with Hippo IPA) and a deconstructed black forest cake (paired with Chit porter). This special celebration will be followed by an after-party with free-flow Chit beer, is bound to sell out so reserve your place at the table now – because, as the brewmaster himself says, “it’s good chit!”

ART & CULTURE — The RCB Film Club’s closing film of the year will be Stilyagi, from Russia. The title means “hipsters” in Russian, and this cult musical and romantic comedy, which has bagged many awards and won over audiences around the world, centres around a unique youth-movement in the Soviet Union of the 50’s. At the height of the Cold War, the titular “stilyagi” were a bunch of Western-oriented hipsters who loved jazz, dances like the swing and the boogie-woogie, exhibited questionable morals, and enjoyed dressing with flamboyant style. This film event is supported by the Embassy of Russia, who will host a Reception after the screening. The Ambassador of Russia, HE Evgeny Tomikhin, will also introduce the film.
