When people mention Kenzo, their immediate thoughts are tribal prints and tiger designs, but fashion isn’t the only thing the French luxury house has up its sleeve. With four different lines, the Kenzoki Skincare range offers Body Care, Global Anti-Aging Care, Hydration Radiance Care and Revitalisation Care. The latest in its collection, though, is the Revitalisation Skincare range, designed to enrich tired skin using ginger plant essence – specially cultivated from the Shandong province in China for Kenzoki. 

1. The Amazing Cleansing Water

With a combination of ginger plant essence and yuzu extract to combat skin dryness, this Amazing Cleansing Water does mostly what it’s hailed to do. A few pumps of the fresh, clear micellar water onto a cotton pad and it easily removes makeup. Unfortunately, with more long-wearing, waterpoof eye makeup, this cleansing water struggles. The soothing smell of ginger, however, does manage to make this a product worth trying. 

2. Amazing Exfoliating Water

A microbead-free exfoliator sounds too good to be true for those with more sensitive skin, and unfortunately, it is. The Amazing Exfoliator Water mixes Kenzoki’s signature ginger plant essence with lemon extract, ginger oil and licorice extract. The light liquid glides like velvet on the skin but does little to remove dead skin cells or impurities. Overall, there isn’t much of a wow moment after using it. 

3. Vital-Ice Cream

The plumping Vital-Ice Cream is definitely our superstar of the Revitalisation Collection. The face cream is made from ginger plant water, osilift (a natural extract from oats), huang quin (a Chinese medicinal plant) and alpinia (an evergreen plant native to Asia). The texture is thicker than normal moisturisers but with just a few uses, your skin feels plumper, firmer and more moisturised than ever before. 

4. Ice Cold Eye Cream

Formulated with ginger plant water, osilift, actiflow (a bioengineered ingredient) and mango butter, the Ice-Cold Eye Cream’s purpose is to wake up the eyes every morning. Although it should always be paired with a night-time eye cream to really work at rejuvenating the sensitive skin around your eyes, it is perfect for those weary mornings when you just need a little pick-me-up.
