Every little girl dreams of their wedding day, and it’s a dream come true when you get to walk down the isle in a custom Dior. Fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni — also known as The Blonde Salad with 14.2 million followers on Instagram — said her “I do” to husband Fedez, an Italian rapper, in Sicily.
Chiara wore not one, but two Dior dresses designed just for her by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Composed of a bustier and a skirt along pure lines, Chiara’s wedding dress was inspired by the Savoir-Faire and crafts of Italy. The design took an incredible 400 meters of fabric to make and more than 1,600 hours of work in the ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne.
Her tulle evening gown was a dedication to her relationship with Fedez, embroidered with motifs and words that evoked the couple’s shared history. Among the sentiments were the cities in which they had lived together, and a little lion symbolising their son, Leone.
To celebrate their big day, the couple flew guests out to the town of Noto on a specially-chartered Air Italia flight that displayed the occasion’s hashtag: #TheFerragne. The wedding was held at the Palazzo Nicolaci di Villadorata on a manicured garden dressed with cascading flowers.
