Normally known for collaborating with pop icons like Katy Perry and Beyonce, this year clothing retailer H&M recruited Academy Award-nominated director and screenwriter Wes Anderson to create a short four-minute holiday film.
Titled Come Together, the film opens on Adrien Brody as a train conductor in a cosy and warm atmosphere as the train and its passengers travel through a snowy landscape. Harsh weather the evening before delays the train by 11 hours, ruining many of the passenger’s holiday plans. We then follow Brody’s character as he tries to organise a special Christmas brunch on board to make up for it.
If we didn’t know better, this charming short campaign could be a sequel to Anderson’s 2007 film The Darjeeling Limited.
“This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug,” says Brody in a statement.
Touching words from the Academy Award-winning actor, and the film is clearly striking a chord with people.
