The award-winning online gaming platform Fortnite teams up with Spanish luxury fashion house Balenciaga for a creative partnership.
For the first time ever, the award-winning online gaming platform Fortnite is collaborating with a luxury brand. The multi-pronged creative partnership between the two names incorporates Balenciaga’s original designs in the form of skins and outfits, which are all available via a virtual store within the game.
Other products designed by the Spanish luxury fashion house include Balenciaga backpacks, Triple S Sneakers, Speed Sneaker Pickaxe, and even an Hourglass Bag Glider. This virtual Balenciaga store designed exclusively for Fortnite is situated in an area called ‘Retail Row,’ which appears in the game’s favoured mode: Battle Royale mode. Although the virtual store is available in the Battle Royale mode, the clothing brand’s virtual products can be worn in multiple game modes. All in all, the virtual store is a digital take on existing physical Balenciaga locations.
In order to commemorate this partnership with Fortnite, Balenciaga has launched a limited-edition series of physical products too. From hoodies and shirts to jackets and caps featuring Fortnite and Balenciaga logos, all products can be purchased via Balenciaga’s website or in their stores.
