Hermès has long established a repute for opulent design offerings and novel collections. As we near the AW season, the Parisian high fashion maison is back once again with its new Objects Autumn-Winter 2020 collection.
Following Hermès theme of the year, “Innovation in the making” — a rather apt way to kick off a new decade, especially in our pandemic-ridden times — the Hermès Autumn-Winter 2020 collection offers a series of familiar silhouettes, reworked with delicate add-ons and fantastical details.

It is perhaps in the highlighted items, where these elements are most evident — ranging from bags, to the classic silk scarves, jewellery items, the newly launched Hermès beauty line, and more.
Bags range from the Hermès Della Cavalleria bag in Tadelakt calfskin, which comes decorated with a jewel clasp shaped like a bridle bit, to the Hermès Minuit au Faubourg bag in smooth lizard, which marks the launch of a new line of evening bags.
We especially love the Space Sac à Malice, which draws inspiration from space exploration, manifesting it through stunning Hermès know-how. In a sky of golden stars, marquetry rocket shoots for Mars, while planets in the solar system adorn the strap.
Hermès silk also gets a new chapter, with standouts ranging from a revisit of the Couvertures et tenues de jour, to the Projects carres au crayon — featuring a composition, drawn in pencil, based on a photograph by Henri d’Origny.

Jewellery and accessories pay tribute to the maison’s chainmaking know-how, and longstanding leatherwork heritage, while at the same time encouraging wearers to sport them playfully and boldly.
A reinterpretation of the Clochette plays a central role here, as much emphasis is placed on the small leather envelope found on the iconic Kelly bag padlock, protecting the keys.
