Founded in 2001 by a group of creative talents with a passion for fashion, Kloset is reputed for a collection of whimsical designs that blend vintage vibes and playful hues with a graceful sophistication. For Spring/Summer 2020, Kloset unveils ‘The Hidden Treasure’ — a line of designs that reminisces on carefree summers in Greece, paying homage to the the Greek-Roman empire.
Against the sunset on a Saturday eve, Bangkok’s most fashionable society figures such as Pimpisa Chirathivat, Parva Nakasai, and Anchisa “Srei” Vacharaphol gathered at Benedict Studio to welcome the new line, amidst a stunning backdrop that draws from architectural styles of the past. Here’s a sneak peek at Kloset’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
The Story ‘The Hidden Treasure’
Inspired by the rich history of ancient Greece, Kloset’s Spring/Summer 2020 is a collection of two tales — a summer holiday voyage, and that of an archaeologist exploring a bygone era. Channelling sun-drenched summer vibes and an unrestrained, feminine energy, there’s a vivacious elegance that defines the entire line. You have the bold, bright prints that scream summer vacation, and then you’ve got the clever nods to the Greek-Roman empire of the past. It’s cheeky, fun, and just that teeny, tiny bit rebellious.
What to Expect from Spring/Summer 2020
Design-wise, the collection pays homage to ancient Greece through graceful prints and airy silhouettes. Chains, gold metal, vases, and tropical flowers are depicted through elaborate embroidery and carefully designed motifs, while the colour palette draws from the colours of a Greek summer. Think: bright blue skies and seas, to fuchsia and tangerine orange from the fresh hues of a sun-kissed bougainvillea flower.
While grace and style reign supreme, convenience has not been sacrificed. Tasteful reinterpretations of cargo pants, jackets, and even safari-themed comfort-wear result in a line that is at once beautiful, and wholly versatile. We especially love certain pairings, from an edgy mash-up of printed shorts and hoodie, to a playful remix between swimwear top and muumuu dress — an outfit you could easily pull off as both weekend look and cocktail attire.
Of course, the accessories cannot be overlooked here. From customised gold medal buttons, to silver vase-shaped earrings, and even a sombrero or safari hat, expect an eclectic selection of fun trinkets to mix and match — the selection of belts are also not to be missed.
