Hot on the heels of New York and London, it was the turn of Milan to fall into step in the spectacular march of Fashion Weeks showcasing collections for the 2020 fall-winter season by the world’s most prestigious brands. This year, the catwalk was dominated by opulence and authenticity — with a nod towards #GirlPower, as brands turn towards creating looks tailored for the strong, independent, and powerful woman, who can also be perceived as intellectual, sensual, and even delicate.
Events in the Italian city began with an outstanding presentation by Alessandro Michele for Gucci, which allowed guests to discover all of the behind the scenes goings-on at the show, from the preparation of the models to their first steps on the catwalk. Here is a look back in pictures at the first day of the Fashion Week in Milan.
