Ferragamo.com just got a makeover, and the resulting website blurs the line between the virtual and the real.
The past few months have been rather rocky, and as we found ourselves unable to enjoy the physical experiences we once took for granted, we also came to discover the various tools and technologies we have at our disposal. In light of these rapidly changing times, Ferragamo has taken a leap into the digital realm, launching the newly revamped ferragamo.com, along with a series of virtual projects and immersive experiences. Here’s what we know (and love) so far.
The Augmented Store 360
Hopping swiftly on the virtual tour trend, Ferragamo is now offering digitised experiences of its various boutiques. Innovative, interactive, and highly immersive, the tours are compatible with augmented reality devices, and offer shoppers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest collections. Explore room after room within the store, all from the comforts of your home, while interacting with the products to find out more — you can even directly order items from the online store.
Interested? The Augmented Store 360 is currently being piloted at the Via Condotti boutique in Rome, and will be rolled out across other Ferragamo flagship stores all around the world. Enjoy the experience via the new ferragamo.com website, or directly check out the Women’s store, and Men’s store.
Not only are the stores a part of this digital experience, but the virtual journey also extends to Florence and the Ferragamo Museum. Through a series of 360-degree high definition images, videos, and insightful information panels, various sections of the brand’s Sustainable Thinking exhibition — currently taking place at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence till January 16 2021 — will be constantly open for visitors to experience digitally through their personal devices. You can try out the virtual tour here.
If you’re looking for a more exclusive experience, private, guided tours — available in both Italian an English — are also accessible for visitors from all across the globe. The tours take you through the exhibition space, and offer a unique opportunity to discover the strong relationship Ferragamo shares with art. You can book these guided tours on demand from mid-July onwards, and a series of webinars and guest talks by curators, designers, and artists will also be available until the end of the year.
