One’s Essentials might be a newcomer to the Thai fashion scene. Still, its founders—creative director Sarunrat Pachiracharoen and architect Charif Lona of Studio Act of Kindness—are established veterans recognised by people in the design field.
There’s nothing quite like the creative marriage between architecture and fashion when it comes to a match made in heaven. One’s Essentials is the living proof of that. The brand, which is a brainchild of Sarunrat Pachiracharoen and Charif Lona, is functional yet visually compelling through careful use of material and design. In their own words, the label is an “effortless fashion brand that depends on the necessity of function and celebration of daily life, routine and duty for everyone.”
Just as the moniker implies, the brand’s first collection (Collection 001) features clean lines and timeless, minimal pieces—essentials—that can be easily mixed and matched for everyday looks.
The collection is just what you would expect to see when someone like Sarunrat Pachiracharoen and Charif Lona decides to work together.
Formerly the creative director behind lifestyle and product label, Everyday Karmakamet, Sarunrat is well-known in the fashion industry, having designed for brands such as Disaya and served as fashion stylist for major events including ELLE Fashion week between 2017 – 2019. His fashion expertise is complemented by Charif Lona, designer and founder of multidisciplinary design firm, Studio Act of Kindness. Charif, who specialises in architectural and spatial design, is no stranger to the fashion world, having designed boutique stores, fashion houses, cafés and lifestyle stores such as Sretsis, Pañpuri, Son, and Hamburger studio, to name a few.
