Nearing the end of the year, there’s no time like the present to give our wardrobes a little refresh. Keeping up its repute as a center of world-class fashion, Siam Paragon has kick-started its annual fashion campaign, “Siam Paragon World Fashion Trends Fall/Winter 2020”, highlighting seasonal must-haves from coveted designer labels.
From names like Bottega Veneta, to Balenciaga, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, Lowe, Miu Miu, Prada, and more, these are the items to have on your wishlist this FW2020.
Head to the Bottega Veneta Pop Up Store at Siam Paragon, and you’ll find the unmissable Crisscross clutch in Kiwi. Limited to only 10 pieces in Thailand, and available only at this particular store, this twisted soft nappa clutch stands out among the brand’s signatures, with that iconic Intrecciato weaving. If you’re looking for other options, we also recommend The Whirl in Glass — a definite statement piece, thanks to its vibrant hue. Avid fans of the Maison will also recognise the shiny crinkled texture, a result of the paper calf technique, which is an exclusive to the house.
Hop on the current street-style wagon by opting for Balenciaga’s luxurious street series. We particularly love the monochromatic Hoodie Crew. If you’re getting the hoodie, you might as well go all out and get a full set, as it pairs perfectly with the Speed 2.0 Lace Up Sneaker in black jacquard knit.
If statement bags are your thing — aren’t they always — you definitely do not want to miss out on the new Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU. Featuring a new frame shape that draws inspiration from an accordion, this rendition of the brand’s iconic bag opens up in a deep ‘smile’. Inside, you’ll spot a pocket which is interchangeable, and can be personalised with one’s initials — a playful little gimmick that adds that makes the design even more covetable.
This season, we’ve set our sights on the Givenchy ID Bag — an accessory that’s able to easily complete any everyday look, whether you’re headed for the boardroom, or a girls’ night out. With its sophisticated, shiny calfskin, and that classic GG clasp, the ID bag is incredibly versatile, with its chain-trimmed shoulder strap and monogram-embroidered top handles making it very easy to style.
Gucci lovers will know that the it-bags of the season includes the brand’s classic Jackie, which pays homage to the former first lady and fashion icon Jackie Kennedy. We recommend the leather version, which comes in a myriad of colours and sizes — think everything from basic to candy, and mini to medium. Another eye-catcher is the Liberty bag from the men’s collection, standing out with its soft hued floral prints — not to mention, of course, the ‘Liberty’ printed in art nouveau script. We’ve also got a bit of a soft spot for the retro-sporty Gucci Fake Not collection, an upbeat take on the brand’s logo with its beige-ebony GG supreme pattern.
Also another it-bag to eye is the iconic Balloon Bag from Loewe, which draws from the Maison’s long standing expertise in leatherwork. A bucket-style bag, it comes in a wide variety of colours. We especially love the black and tan version, which is carefully crafted from two types of leathers — calf leather on the outside, and soft nappa calfskin inside — both of which Loewe claims to be among the brand’s best.
For the more feminine of us, bring out your inner diva with the Miu Miu Printed Satin Jacquard Dress. A short-sleeved floral print number, it’s incredibly romantic, and pops with a crepe de chine collar, complete with delicate lace trim. The trim also goes perfectly with Miu Miu’s Patent Leather Pumps, recalling the dreamy 60s silhouette, with contrasting hues and a chain strap embellishment for a nice final touch.
Returning to the classics for its women’s collection, Prada enters the FW2020 season with a series of bold, bright hues — the kind that are sure to get heads turning. In the men’s collection, we also see a similar ode to the classics, as iconic silhouettes of the past are paired nicely with contemporary looks.
You don’t want to miss the Coach Chambrey collection, carrying a range of accessories and clothing. The iconic C Signature canvas print is given a little twist, coming in refreshing denim. Highlights in the line include the handbags in tanned leather trim and gold hardware.
Signature classic palettes from Max Mara are highlighted this season, ranging from camel, black and white. We’ve also set our sights on the limited-edition T-Shirt, adorned with an iconic image of a Weimaraner in the brand’s iconic coat.
Fans of MCM, keep your eyes peeled for the MCM Patricia Saddle Bag. A new version of the signature Patty — which quickly became a celebrity favourite — this saddle-inspired shape combines the iconic Visetos Monogram with Bauhaus-inspired design. Opt for the classic Cognac, or give one of the new highlighted palettes a chance — we recommend the Mood Indigo shade.
Furla brings back its all-time classic, the Furla 1927, this time in a whole new contemporary take. This new rendition comes in four main hues — talco, cognac, burgundy, and black. Style-wise, choose from three main options — the Pochette, Crossbody, and the Saddle bag.
