In 1946, after the second world war, Pipat Bunjapamai established Tok Kwang, a family-owned jewellery shop in what was then Bangkok’s Ban Mo district. Over the years, Tok Kwang managed to grow from a simple family establishment, to one of the country’s most well-known jewellers around. Nearly 40 years later, in 1985, Pipat’s youngest son Phumiphan Bunjapamai decided to expand on his father’s legacy by establishing Yong.
While maintaining the superior quality and precision that garnered Tok Kwang its reputation, Yong offers customers with a more casual approach on fine jewellery, in a way making these exquisite jewels more accessible to the younger generation. Perfect for a new generation of affluent clientele, Yong offers a wide variety of pieces especially tailored for more casual wear — traditional jewellery with a modern spirit. Fast-forward to today, and Phumiphan’s own son, Phuris Bunjapamai, brings his own dimension to Yong.
While still respecting the brand’s deeply rooted heritage, he brings on board yet another new twist through a stunning Fall/Winter 2019 collection, designed to satisfy both millennials and long standing clients alike. Hand-selected to ensure the highest quality, novelties in this new line consist of four collections: Swan Lake, Eternal Spark, Spirit of the South Sea, and Shining Star, each of which comes with a necklace, ring, and a pair of earrings. The collections draw from past recollections and experiences from all around the globe. Here’s everything we know about these timeless, new designs.

Like it’s name implies, the collection comes with charming little motifs shaped like stars, as well as clusters of ice drops.
