Discerning collectors, horology enthusiasts and watch lovers gather around: Christie’s Hong Kong and Gaysorn will be hosting an exceptionally exclusive live auction. Get an exclusive preview of over 1,800 million baht worth of Patek Philippe timepieces right here in Bangkok.
The auction, which will be held on May 22, 2021, at Gaysorn Village, will give horology lovers a chance to see exceptionally rare timepieces. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Why? That’s because amongst the masterpieces presented in the lot is Alan Banbery’s Patek Philippe Reference 3448J ‘No Moon Phase’ with a prototype leap year indication. It’s a timepiece with an estimated worth of over 100 million baht and for good reasons.
Amongst the desirable reference 3448, whose automatic perpetual calendar with moon phase indication makes it one of the most desirable Patek Philippe classic models from the 60s – 70s, Alan Banbery’s reference 3448J wristwatch is perhaps the most unique of them all. Personally gifted by Henri and Philippe Stern themselves, the watch was specially commissioned for Patek Philippe’s director of sales, Alan Banbery, in 1975 and was personally kept by Banbery himself for almost 25 years.
Aside from Alan Banbery’s Patek Philippe Reference 3448J, the preview will also showcase 23 other highlights totalling an estimate of 1,800 million baht. The Bangkok Live Auction will be held on May 22, 2021, at the Diamond Lounge on the 1st floor of Gaysorn Village.
