Introducing H. Moser & Cie.’s newly-launched Streamliner Centre Seconds — a staple classic three-hand watch showcasing meticulous attention to detail.
Earlier this year, H. Moser & Cie. showcased its first integrated automatic chronograph with a central display that offers a fly-back function in the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic. In short, this is the first automatic chronograph with a central display to feature a fly-back function for the minutes and seconds. More recently and following the aforementioned self-winding Flyback Chronograph, the brand released the Streamliner Centre Seconds as the second model in the collection.
Compared to the previous model with its fly-back function, this new Streamliner Centre Seconds focuses only on the essentials: hours, minutes, and centre seconds. And then, this classic three-hand staple is uplifted with a brand-new fumé dial. In particular, the dial in this watch comes with the vibrant and electric Matrix Green colour-way that offers a pretty complex palette of shades from olive green to red gold.
Moreover, in order to further elevate the beauty of the dial, this new watch is also completed with a 40mm steel cushion case. Of particular note, this steel cushion offers extraordinary ergonomics thanks to the design which includes a fully integrated steel bracelet with no lugs on the case.
Uniquely, as a nod to the traditional unusual shapes typical of Moser cases, the case middle has hollowed and satin-finished forms on the sides, as well as alternating brushed and polished surfaces. To make it even more special, it is topped by a subtly domed sapphire crystal which is then echoed by the see-through case back.
Moving on, the Streamliner Centre Seconds’ bracelet is no less impressive. Highly complex in construction, the bracelet features extremely fluid lines while all the links are articulated and feature a gentle wave.
Inside, the watch is driven by the HMC 200 self-winding calibre, which is entirely designed, developed and produced in-house. On top of that, it also equipped with a regulating organ manufactured by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG and also decorated with the famous Moser double stripes.
From its ideal proportions and fluid forms to its high-end finishes, the Streamliner Centre Seconds is a masterpiece of harmonious aesthetics. Completed with the integrated steel bracelet that’s elegantly arced to follow the line of the wrist, the watch perfectly illustrates a philosophy of a balanced and precise proportions, in a true technical feat.
