Renowned luxury watchmaker Maurice Lacroix recently unveiled the brand’s latest Aikon Collection, marking the first time these new designs are being shown in Asia. The event, aptly called ‘The Aikonic Novelties of 2020 collection’ offered guests a first glimpse at the new watches in store, including five all-new, signature designs.
Along with the new collection, audiences could also marvel at a mini exhibition by friends of the brand, featuring work that has been carefully selected based on exquisite craftsmanship that reflects that of Maurice Lacroix.
The Highlights: What Were the Signature Timepieces?
Among the key designs to eye, the Aikon Chronograph Skeleton was undoubtedly a key highlight. Especially designed to align with contemporary trends, and suit the lifestyle needs of the modern generation, the timepiece also pays homage to the house’s impressive level of craftsmanship and design. Following this model, other iconic timepieces to eye from the new collection include the Fiaba Moonphase, the Aikon Quartz, and the Masterpiece Embrace.
The Event: What Took Place?

Stephane Waser, managing director of Maurice Lacroix, and sales director Marcel Gut both flew in directly from Switzerland for the special event, which took place at the rooftop on the 29th floor of So Sofitel Hotel. They were joined by Ravis Haetanurak, brand manager of Maurice Lacroix, and Kirisuda Permpool, department manager of watches and merchandising of The Mall Group Co., Ltd.

Guests enjoyed an event filled with mingling, and timepiece appreciation, led by moderator Elizabeth Sadler, and also got the chance to view striking street art creations by renowned Thai artists Parinya Sirisinsuk — also known as street artist Benzilla — and Pimnarra Sangngern, the designer and owner of Nara Brand.
