This week has you sorted with the Malaysia Fashion Week Festival in Publika, or travel much further to Pahang, where Resorts World Genting is holding an open-air festival over a few dates and it promises fun movies outdoors, games, and lots of gourmet food trucks. Vintage fashion is all the rage at the Malaysian Fashion Week Festival 2019, with four fashion shows by local and international designers, and the Prof. Jimmy Choo awards. The series of events extends to art with the works from artists such as Maamor Jantan, A J Rahman and Hendra Gunawan on display, as well as a showing of contemporary art curated by Philip Wong of the National Art Gallery.
Too many cooks in the kitchen can be a good thing, in fact a great a thing. Perrier-Jouët is collaborating with Sitka and its counterpart Sitka Studio where they’ll Parisian Chef Taku Sekine, who famously apprenticed and cooked at world-famous French chef Alain Ducasse’s three-star Michelin rated restaurant Beige in Ginza and is now at the helm of the highly acclaimed Parisian restaurants Cheval d’Or and Dersou. Sekine will be joined by the dream team at Sitka, Chef Christian Recomio and Jenifer Kuah, to present a restaurant takeover not to be missed.
