Got plans? We’ve found some great happenings this week in Kuala Lumpur, with not just one but two markets, a concert that’s got rock music fans excited, and a workshop to let your artistic imagine run free. Take a look:

Now in its third edition, Kabut in the Park is a marketplace organised by The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac). One for bargain seekers and those keen in contributing to the zero waste movement should take note of, the market aims to give second life to items still in good condition. These include old clothes, vinyls, jewellery, and books. You never know, that one piece of nostalgia that brings you happiness could be hidden here!
If you’ve found yourself in the mood for another fun market, make your way to Jalan Ceylon for the first ever Le Marché Bottega. This one is organised by EventsKL and Bottega; a day of diverse, atypical artisan shopping. But of course, Bottega is ever ready to serve amazing eats and wine, and are offering a buy-2-free-1 on wine just for the occasion. Kids are more than welcomed with family-friendly activities and a DJ spinning all day long.
The goal here isn’t to walk out as a reincarnation of Picasso, let alone to create a masterpiece. Instead, the workshop wants to help you express yourself freely through painting. Not sure how to work your way around a paintbrush? Perfect. Facilitator Liong Mei Yin is there to guide participants as they realise and release their thoughts and dreams, building the colours and strokes into a collage that’s reflective of you. The workshop starts at 10am till 4pm.
One of the most popular rock bands right now, Chon, is set to play in Bentley Music Auditorium this Sunday. The San Diego-based trio comprises of guitarists Mario Camarena and Erick Hansel and drummer Nathan Camarena, with the success of more than 40 million Spotify streams. Chon has also toured with other big bands like Coheed and Cambria, Animals As Leaders and Circa Survive.
