Events in Kuala Lumpur from 17 to 23 February 2020:
Pet owners can learn how to be more responsible and ready in the face of an animal emergency at this workshop. It will be led by veterinarian Dr Lee Wai Wai as he takes you though the basics in caring for cats and dogs through a variety of topics including common first aid scenarios, building a pet first aid kit and hands-on CPR training. Pets are more than welcome to come but only if you are confident that they are very well behaved and free from ticks and fleas. The half-day workshop starts at 9am.
Croissants and danish are two tricky pastry recipes to master and we’ll admit we need all the help we can get. Luckily, that help comes in the form of a hands-on workshop by Chef William Woo from The Bakehaus Singapore. You’ll be having freshly baked cinnamon swirls for breakfast at home after this one! The workshops starts at 9.30am until 5pm.
Come by Knowhere Bangsar to support the pet adoption drive by PAWS. Even if you don’t end up bringing home a new family member, you’ll still be able to meet these adorable animals and browse pet accessories from Taming Wild. Portions of the proceeds from Taming Wild and 30% of drink sales will be donated to Voice For Paws. The event takes place from 12pm to 5pm.
First there was POW Ideas, an organisation that created art and design sharing sessions called POW-WOW, which brings us to its latest brainchild: the POW DOWN design forum. The theme for this inaugural forum is ‘Clarity’, where four panel speakers with diverse backgrounds will be speaking and sharing presentations on their collection of work and process. The event takes place from 12pm to 6pm.
