Tan Sri Anthony Fernandes

The man who brought air travel to the masses, Tan Sri Dr Fernandes has increased his stake in AirAsia via new share issuance as a show of confidence and to reduce the airline’s debt. The airline is in talks to sell its plane-leasing unit, while subsidiary AirAsia X has returned to profit after years of losses. It now flies to Hawaii.
