Kezia Karin’s interior design work takes in residential projects, offices, hotels and restaurants. “We believe that no project can attain brilliance without a great conception phase,” says the founder of Surabaya-based Kezia Karin Studio.
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Petra Christian University, Surabaya, Kezia says: “I got to know about interior design from my parents, who are architects. As a child, I was surrounded by an environment of design. In my teens, I started to think about pursuing interior design. I started on a freelance basis. After two years and winning many more projects, I began building the company. It’s the creative process that I enjoy most. Interior design is a complex web of decision making, of philosophy, colours, psychology, analytics, innovation. I enjoy the influence that interior design has on clients. At work or home, colour schemes and materials have a conscious effect on people.”
