Besides Bangkok Broadcasting & TV (which operates the recently digitised Channel 7), this powerful media magnate and his family also own shares in Sri Ayudhya Bank and Siam City Cement, one of Thailand’s largest cement producers. The latter spent US$53 million to buy out Mexican company Cemex’s Thai and Bandgladesh operations in 2016.
