With a net worth of US$600 million, technopreneur Tan is among Forbes’ “Singapore’s 50 Richest” list. The global gaming devices firm, which Tan founded in 2005 after quitting his job as a lawyer, was valued at US$1.5 billion after a funding round in February. Based in San Francisco, Razer’s market is spread evenly across the US, Europe and Asia, with Tan seeing potential for growth in emerging markets including China, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Razer’s investors include IDG-Accel, Temasek Holdings and Intel.
