Prajogo Pangestu

Pangestu, 72, founded Barito Pacific, which engages in forestry, petrochemicals, property, plantation, oil and gas, coal, gold mining and geothermal energy. The company controls Indonesia’s largest petrochemical producer, Chandra Asri Petrochemical, and Star Energy, one of the largest oil and gas companies in Indonesia. Last November, Chandra Asri announced a partnership with Univation Technologies in Houston to develop a new plant.
