Bangkok’s Gallery

There’s no better way to get into the spirit of art than by attending the opening ceremony of Bangkok Biennnal where you will undeniably meet fellow arts enthusiasts. The event with be the symbolic and colourful commencement of something never before seen in the city, the Bangkok Biennial – Thailand’s first-ever biennial contemporary art event.

A photography exhibition celebrating the diversity of the LGBT community captured through the lens of 24 Thai photographers, including Amat Nimitpark, Arat Komsawadichai, BIGs Vatcharasith and Kanachai Bencharongkul.

July 3 – 22, 2018. Woofpack Space, Saladang Soi 1.

As a photographer who studied painting, Lik Sriprasert creates works of art which interact between fashion and portraiture. The series is a true testament of his artistic ability and experiences to date, while also reflecting on educational systems that mould the process of thinking.

Selected paintings on paper produced over the last five years have been put together to display the artist’s vision of a world loosing track of its ethics, morality and aspirations.
His works have been exhibited extensively in Bangkok, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Paris, and New York.

Established in 2014 in Frankfurt, Germany, TheTip is a display window style space aimed at introducing international artists to local audiences. The emphasis lies in presenting new work specially designed for the characteristics of the exhibition space. Viewers of this spectacle will witness a collaboration presented by Simon Buckley, Maki Ishii, Jens Pecho, Laura Schawelka and Jul Zabowskx.

Forming part of Bangkok Biennial 2018 and in the spirit of fostering collaborations, Coop is an aesthetic, practical and analytic effort to deepen the understanding of various layers of collaborative work. Hosted by Speedy Grandma and Goethe-Institut Thailand, the exhibition explores the crossing paths between mechanisms of the system, personal interests and solidarity artistically.

Organised by The Royal The Royal Photographic Society of Thailand, Lucie Foundation and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, this photography exhibition addresses the causes and effects of climate change, showcasing the beauty emerging from the disasters. Highlights of this exhibition are not only the great photographs but also the amazing stories behind them.
