Nominated for Best Play at the Olivier and Tony Awards, The Father tells the story of 70-year-old André and his slide into dementia. He begins to question his sanity as his watch goes “missing” and he senses a sinister presence. This gripping play explores the devastation and compassion surrounding mental illness.

Singapore Improv Festival

When?

What about?

Like a good laugh? This four-day event features very funny people from across Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Germany, who make up plots, characters and scenes as the performance goes along.

True Colours Festival

When?

23rd to 25th March

Where?

Singapore Indoor Stadium, 2 Stadium Walk

What about?

Beethoven was deaf when he composed the Symphony No 9, and it became one of his best works. Anything is possible, and the True Colours Festival champions this very fact. Catch Adrian Anantawan (pictured above) draw his violin bow with half an arm and visually impaired Alienette Coldfire sing her heart out.

Rosita’s Deluxe x Yardbird

What about?

This cool burger pop-up has gathered a cult following for its mouthwatering American classics. Taking over Park Bench Deli since 2015, this round will feature Hong Kong’s Yardbird, an izakaya that’s relished for its chicken yakitori. The menu will feature Yardbird’s chicken sando, which will consist of katsu, cabbage, pickle and takana tartare. Not big on chicken? You can safely fall back on Rosita’s deluxe, cheese or chilli burgers, which are what people usually go for anyway.
